A group of school children are evacuated to an emergency school assembly after a terror incident rocks their town. A five-year-old Ayesha overhears her teacher make derogatory comments about people from her community and faith. Hurt by the comments Ayesha grows up to become a passionate political activist.
Over a decade later Ayesha’s world is rocked when her secret boyfriend Yusuf is arrested and sent to jail for terror-related activities. Ayesha believes he is innocent and so fed up with the lack of support and the trauma the arrest has caused her community Ayesha takes on the challenging task of starting a music group with Zahra and Yasmin culminating in a performance in a national competition to secure funding to get a new trial for Yusuf.
